North East Sheets and Panels (NESP), manufacturer and supplier of doors, panels, worktops and components, is ending this unpredictable year with excellent news as they have seen sales of Mistral worktops double in the last two years, selling in excess of £1m in 2016 alone.
The company supplies well-known brands such as Blum, Mistral, Finsa, Egger, and Vetreo, so have a broad appreciation of how the market is performing and an accurate insight into retailer sentiment.
An uplift in market performance has also given NESP an overall increase in turnover of 13%. Having recently invested £1m in machinery and training at their production facility, it is onwards and upwards for this forward-thinking, family-run business.
One of the key areas of growth for sales of Mistral has been north of the Border. In partnership with Karonia’s product support team, NESP has hosted Mistral demonstrations across Scotland showing installation processes as well as explaining the product’s key features and benefits.
With over 150 fabricators, installers and retail staff having attended these events since April, the enthusiasm for the product is a sign of even better things to come.
Leading these promotional efforts is NESP’s Sales Director George Richardson, who comments, “The demonstrations are lively, interactive events with those attending getting a great deal out of them. At times, it becomes one big discussion group which makes the sessions even more rewarding for everyone.”
These figures along with the recent announcement that Karonia is freezing Mistral prices have ensured everyone at NESP will be having a Merry Christmas and looking forward to a very prosperous New Year in 2017.
